I was so thankful for her help (and the fact that she is a professional wedding planner). I also was lucky enough to have an amazingly talented Uncle who did all of the flowers for the wedding.Curtis and I also did lots of projects together from creating the vintage doors for the ceremony to folding the many fans that ended up as the backdrop for the cake table. Many other family members were enlisted to find vintage bottles, address invitations, fluff poms, fold napkins, and set tables. My family totally took all of the stress away on the wedding day, setting up the entire reception while I was getting ready. They did everything perfectly and executed the warm and elegant look that I was going for.Advice From The Bride:Stay focused on what’s important. Never let the details overshadow the joy and happiness of the day. A DIY wedding is something that you really can’t do yourself, and that is where friends and family come in, surround yourself with people who support you and the vision you have for your wedding and everything will come together.
