Elegant Vintage Outdoor Wedding
When you peruse through our next feature, you might be surprised that it rained almost the entire day at Lauren and Justin's wedding. The skies cleared just long enough for Lauren and Justin to say their 'I Dos,' before it started to sprinkle again. Despite the bad weather the day went perfectly, just they as they planned. All captured by Amanda Watson Photography.From The Bride:I carried a vintage locket attached to my bouquet. It contained pictures of the two couples that meant the most to me, and had shown me how to make a marriage last; my parents and my dad's parents.The historical hunting lodge is set in the middle of an expanse of green lawn, lush woods and huge rock outcroppings that overlook a valley. The sounds of the breeze, trickling water and bird song filled the air.Even the onset of bad weather couldn't break the calm relaxing feeling that engulfs Skelly Lodge. Rain clouds seemed to be playing hide and seek with the sun. Occasional sprinkles kissed the vegetation but didn't dampen our spirits. Umbrellas and a contingency plan were ready.Details & DecorThe best description of our theme is Eclectic Vintage. I had collected milk glass for a long time. So, many of the pieces we used were mine; some were gifts to my collection from family and friends. And during the months preceding the wedding Justin and I spent many hours looking through local thrift and vintage shops to find more. Doilies were gotten in the same way. We both had a hand in planning every detail. Our coordinator Renee, was amazing. She made sure that that everything came together just as we had planned.
